Take on technical responsibility while helping an engineering team grow?
In this role, you’ll work as an experienced systems engineer in close contact with our infrastructure while also taking on leadership responsibilities within the engineering team. You’ll design, operate, and further develop our IT environments, provide support for complex technical issues, and work with the team to ensure stable, secure, and sustainable solutions.
Your main responsibilities:
· Design, operation, and further development of our IT infrastructure
· Technical responsibility for Microsoft infrastructure, virtualization, storage, backup, as well as the workplace and VDI
· Analysis and resolution of complex technical malfunctions
· Planning and implementing infrastructure changes and technical projects
· Further development of standards, documentation, and technical solutions
· Leadership and coordination responsibilities within the engineering team
· Supporting and developing engineers in technical and organizational matters
· Collaboration with support, internal stakeholders, customers, and external partners
· Participation in architectural, lifecycle, and technology decisions
What we want from you:
· Several years of experience as a systems engineer in demanding IT environments
· Extensive technical expertise across a range of infrastructure topics, particularly Microsoft server and cloud environments, virtualization, storage, backup, and workplace and VDI solutions
· In-depth knowledge in at least one of these areas
· Strong knowledge of Microsoft technologies such as Windows Server, Active Directory, Entra ID, and Microsoft 365
· Experience with VMware and, ideally, Citrix, as well as with virtual desktop environments
· A solid understanding of networking and security fundamentals, as well as how they interact with the rest of the infrastructure
· Experience in the design, operation, and troubleshooting of complex IT infrastructures
· Experience in leading, coordinating, or developing employees
· A structured, independent, and quality-oriented approach to work
· Strong communication skills when interacting with customers, internal stakeholders, and external partners
· Excellent proficiency in Swiss German and German, as well as good proficiency in English and/or French
