Architects, engineers and planners work on 3D data models using a slim notebook in conjunction with a high-performance and graphics-accelerated VDI (Virtual Desktop Infrastructure) from finitia ag. It makes no difference whether the work is carried out in the office, on the building site or in the home office. All data is always stored in our data center (Tier IV).
Patrick Lischer and Micha Bucher from finitia opened their presentation at this year's Boston Technology Innovation Day (T.I.D.), a conference under the motto "AI Driven Innovations", with this statement. This year, finitia was joined by industry giants such as AMD, AudioSaul, Nvidia and Supermicro.
In its contribution, finitia presented the path to its VDI solution: from the development of the basic idea, taking into account social megatrends and industry requirements, to the final VDI that was put into operation. The short time span from idea to implementation is impressive.

There was a great response to the presentation. In various follow-up discussions, finitia was able to explain its VDI for mobile and flexible CAD workstations in detail and clarify open questions. Nvidia was also impressed by this solution in a direct exchange.
